Thanks for the book reference. I plan on reading it as soon as possible.
Also, wonderful website! A great virtual meeting place for learning and sharing!
I was wondering–Do you ever put favorite, inspirational quotes up that you come across in your reading? I’d be nice to hear some things that have inspired you or others out there– books or quotes–there could be a “Fr. Mike’s book club” or “Share -A-Quote”. Ha! (We would have never known about the book if it weren’t for you).
I am currently reading “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch–it is excellent
And…have recently rediscovered some of the many beautiful quotes that Mother Teresa left behind–(here are a few):
“Do not wait for leaders, do it alone, person to person.”
“Yesterday is gone.Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”
“Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet, especially your family. Be holy. Let us pray.”
“Words which do not give the light of Christ, increase the darkness.”
I don’t know–just thought I’d mention these things since I’m so grateful for the book reference! A little food for thought. Thanks Fr. God bless all.
Fr–just me again! Just saw the page on Rwanda this moment and your recommendation of “Live to Tell” as well as the DVD. I’m a little behind! Sorry! These are issues that, dare I say, most of us know little about. Thank you for those, and opening our eyes.
This is the book that I referenced in my homily this past weekend.
