Left to Tell: One Woman’s Story of Surviving the Rwandan Genocide (Click here to Join the Discussion)
I’m currently in Baltimore for an orientation session. By Thursday I will be in Rwanda with Catholic Relief Service (CRS) and I will get to experience firsthand the reconciliation that is going on after the genocide of 1994. -Fr. Michael Denk (Parochial Vicar – St. Barnabas, Northfield).
The tiny highlighted part fo the map in the very center is Rwanda. It is just south of Uganda where I was with Fr. Don Dunson in 2004. Rwanda is the most highly populated Country in Africa and is about the size of Deleware.
“Left to Tell” is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I read it in two days becuase I couldn’t put it down. It is a wonderful account of how Immaculee came to know God’s love in the midst of the most horrible event in her life. Below are some interviews with Immaculee.
Sometimes in April is an absolutely gripping film that gives glimpses of the intensity of the genocide and the strength of humanity in the people of Rwanda.
