Last night was fun. Fr. Michael are you doing ten minutes for each of us? LOL, that would be very nice of you!!!
I have my prayer routine down already. I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy nature as I
begin my day with prayer every morning, in my special area, regardless of the weather. Some of you know what I mean.
Thank’s to those who have hosted our meetings and to those who will be hosting.
It’s very rewarding to be part of our Apostleship Program.

I did my ten minutes before school, which helped me to relax and feel less rushed in the AM. I’m stuggling to stay fouced and do not think I’m doing it right… but I’m trying. -Jenny

P.S. I told everyone about our pinatta and they were jealous at school…

Jenny, remember 90% of prayer is just being there! It may be difficult to stay focused especially in the beginning. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to pray. Read thorugh the passage slowly and repeat the word or phrase that attracts you. Remembere – THERE WILL BE DISTRACTIONS! It’s ok, acknowledge them and return the scripture passage. The virtue is in looking back to God.

ok first of all why is there a picture of me from Grease on here???? jk its cute! last night was so much fun. when we did the prayer i really felt like i was with god, like i was touching his hands and sides…i haven’t felt that in a long time and it felt good to open up my heart and achknowledge the fact that he was with me. i cannot even tell you how much that ment to me. it has been one crazy couple of months ( and i haven’t stopped yet i am already on to the next show) and i haven’t gotten the chance to be with the lord as much as i would like to. so when the opportunity presented itself last night i took it under my wing. for my 10 min. i sat down in my music room and i put on some prayer music and i made the scripture like a play. it was so cool. and as much as i enjoyed that i think that i am going to dig a little deeper and try something new. any suggestions? god bless and talk to you guys later!

i did mine this morning before i left. my mind was clear, and i didnt feel as aggravated as i usualy do in the morning.
i still need to find a good prayer spot. even though no one goes in my room, its so cluttered and has too many distractions. so i’m still on a search for a good one.
about to do another 10 minutes tonight to wind down, and end my day off. it’s a little hard to focus, but practice makes perfect.

Caitlin – it is wonderful how your prayer was so you. God will draw us all in our own way. IF he is calling you to go deeper than pray with the Lectio Divino sheet and scripture. Any time we pray with scripture we are putting ourselves in touch with the REAL – Jesus. and he will lead you into contemplative prayer. Which is some of what you experienced touching his hands and side!

Maggie – one of the fruits of prayer si the expereince of peace… what a great way to enter into (and end) the day. Wonderful!

And no Bill, i think I’m just going to stick to 10 minutes a day for everyone (not for each person) I don’t think people would like it if i turned into a hermit! (But there are some days it might be nice:)

Well, this is the first time I’ve read a blog, let alone added to one. This is great!!! Glad to hear your meeting went well. I begin each day with prayer, and yes it is 10 minutes. Wouldn’t have it any other way, what a start to my day. I,m glad to hear that so many are giving it a try. Looking forward to seeing you all at the picnic.

yes we can get this at school! i am in study hall. anyway, i tried praying this morning before school. it was definitly a new experience. i think that i am going to stick with before bed, it was just too early for me. i really think that this is a cool idea. it is just scary that maybe he is just drawing me in deeper to something more than the Lectio Divino. everyday his calling amazes me and it is just so hard to understand in what ways he wants me to do certian things sometimes you know… you want to go for it but, there is just something there holding you back.

also, we will not be able to do the mtg at my house on the 12th. i am getting surgery on Friday in my mouth so, that means that Caitlin is going to be unable to communicate very well with all of you lovely people. so i was thinking about getting together on next Sunday instead because i have a show on that Thursady and it is tech week. during the mtg we will go over and make a plan for monday. i want everyone to get ideas together. let me know my email is Hamm7928@roadrunner.com i will also send the info through regular email. God Bless

I want you all to know I’ve been doing the extra ten minutes and I have REALLY enjoyed the time. It’s given me a well needed breather during the day and a time just to be with God adn Let him love me and restore me. It’s helped focus me and let me be at peace.

I have a favor to ask of the Apostleship group. A special intention, it’s just a little one.
My son has an interview tomorrow, Thursday, morning with a review board for a Police Officer position in Maple Heights. If we all can remember him in our prayers tonight or tomorrow morning I would appreciate it. It’s something he really wants to do. And little by little he is rediscovering his faith. Thank you to all & God Bless you all.

Father Micheal, how do we get our picture to show by our blogs? And Thank you for the extra 10 minutes for all of us.

    Bill,
In the upper left corner is “My Account”. Choose “Edit Profile”. Then it should take you to your personal profile where you can add a photo of yourself. Hope this helps.

My first blog. I can finally say that I moved into the 20th century.

10 minutes of prayer – once a day . Thats all I need to remind myself how lucky I am to have a God that loves me.

We are all set for the Postinia. I have to tell you how much I have enjoyed the extra 10 minutes. It’s not too long, so I’ve been doing it earlier in the day and it has brought a great sense of peace.
